⭐ 🎂 It is hard to believe it is June already but let's take a moment to share with you some of the highlights from our big send-off earlier this year for Al #EngineeringLegend Al is one of our Aldermans originals who has retired after46 years.Working alongside such an incredible engineer, friend, and colleague has been an absolute privilege. Al joined us on the 23 December 1977 and his clocking-in card was number five. Luckily Al has not beenastranger and has popped inafew times since his retirement party – which is just as well as we’re not sure what we will do without him. 🌏 #EarthDay As #MetalFabricators we work withmetal, tonnes of it. So, of course, we have been taking steps on our journey to become Net Zero. It is a big responsibility and we are working hard to make a difference. There is still much to do but here are some of the things we have done: ⚡ Switched to 100% renewable electricity💡 Installed low-energy LED lights🌞 Have 260kW of solar panels (over 650 panels) covering our factory roof. In just three months in the Summer, our solar panels saved 10 tonnes of carbon – the equivalent of 583 planted trees. We also receive live data showing how much power is being generated and how much we are using, proving that factory can run on solar alone in the Summer months 😎 Seeing the numbers behind our carbon reduction and having an action plan has been key to us.How’s your net zero journey going?
